Our Story

Origins:

In May 2020, Pandect was founded to create a business which collided passions to build something unique.  Pandect LLC is a multi-faceted brand which offers consulting and product development services.

What is Pandect?

The word Pandect originates from 6th century Rome, where the Emperor at the time, Justinian commissioned the Pandactae, a 50 volume compendium of Roman Civil Law, Roman Culture, and the relationship between the two.

The project was intended to reoccur, the idea behind the Pandactae was it would evolve as society evolved. It was not intended to be conclusive but instead grow as society grew.

One of our greatest inspirations, Plato often writes about this idea; “it’s not what we know, but we understand how much we do not know.”

Pandect is an ever evolving summation of experience in an attempt to help clients reach their business goals.

Pandect is a collision of interests in an attempt to create connections for progress.

We are just getting started.

Why Homegoods?

One of Pandect's founding tenet's is "for daily use."

What does it look like to create products that are made to wear in rather than wear out? Products that enrich your day to day in ways you did not realize you needed enriching?

All of Pandects product offering's stay true to this idea, and it was important to us to create a collection of Home Goods which embodied this tenet. Upcycled Rolling Trays made from Skateboard Decks, Coasters, Stainless Steel Ashtray's, Portable Waterproof speakers, BIC Lighters, Thermos's & Custom Fragrance Candles are all products we use on a daily basis.

Our Homegoods collection serves as an evolution for Pandect, stamping another unique offering for the Brand.

The Watcher:
Capsules  4 & 5:
Capsule's 4 & 5 serve as an evolution of the offerings of Pandect. Stamping our commitment to up-cycling with a series of button down "Work Shirts" and Carhartt Utility Pants. We have also started to introduce new imagery for the brand while making different types of garments from initial offerings.
The respective campaigns for each capsule are something we could not be more proud of, having the opportunity to work alongside some of our favorite artists in the city has been a true privilege. Thank You Armando Geneyro, Jose Domingo, Blake Jackson and Stevie Selby for being open to working together on these projects and Hex, Simone, Greg and Diallo for your help.

It has always been a part of the vision to expand the in person reach of Pandect outside of Colorado. We couldn’t think of a better place to start than back home in Portland where we grew up.

To celebrate the launch of Pandect Wears VII Capsule, we will have three separate events to close out August. Friday the 25th, we will start things off with a party at our lifelong friends shop Magic City Garage. This promises to be a great night celebrating being back reconnecting with our PNW family. Word is there may be a couple whips pulled out and we might have to drop a collab piece exclusively available at the event only… we’ll see. Saturday the 26th we’re taking part in Pallet Portland's market at Lloyd center mall. This should be an awesome day filled with local vendors in a place we have so many memories as a child. Sunday the 27th we’ll be participating in ThriftCon Portland. We couldn’t be more hyped to be a part of this incredible Denver based businesses inaugural event in PDX.
